The quantity of kraft paper for light bags comes from Japan is relatively large, and the competitors are Yuelin, Huatai, and Guangzhou Paper. At present, with the rise of foreign prices and the increase of shipping costs, the price of foreign natural-color kraft paper has exceeded the domestic price, so the import of natural-color kraft paper has dropped sharply since 2021.
In the later period, with the improvement of environmental protection requirements, plastic bags will gradually decrease, and the consumption of kraft paper bags in China will increase, especially the consumption of lightweight paper bags within a certain technical range will increase, and domestic factories will also increase. In order to meet the needs of the market, more waste paper grade garbage bags will be developed to replace plastic garbage bags, which require certain strength, water resistance and natural degradability. The wider application of the latter market focuses on the food application industry and the exploration and research on the application direction of lightweight paper bags. But the same problem is the limitation of natural softwood pulp raw materials.
